Little did we know that, when we brought the curtain down on TradFest 2020, it would be two years before we could do it all again in the manner to which we had all become accustomed. The music and culture didn’t stop, though, and neither did we. TradFest At Home 2021 led to Music From Ireland amongst other projects and our aim to shine a light on the very best creatives from across the country continued on an even larger scale.

We hope we have brought some of that vision back to Trad Fest 2022, continuing to broaden our programming horizons and spreading out to new venues across the city. At its heart, however, the festival remains true to our original remit of offering a glimmer of light in the darkest time of the year. As ever there is something for everyone – from the diehard to those who take this annual opportunity to expand their horizons. From intimate, never forgotten moments to some of the most visually stunning buildings the capital has to offer, our roots are still very much in Temple Bar – with all the excitement, history and craic that it brings.

Once more we will not only bring the music of the world to Ireland in the form of some of the most famous names and exciting new talents but also the music of Ireland to the world – both in the large number of overseas guests we are delighted to see every year and in the industry profile that an appearance at Trad Fest brings to home grown performers. So whether it be music, dance, spoken word, arts and crafts or family events, you’ll find it here. Welcome back….
