Ellen O’Meara is a singer-songwriter from County Westmeath. She writes music about her lived experiences, society’s unrealistic beauty standards, Ireland’s political regression, and of course, she writes a lot about heartbreak too.
While she has always sang it was only recently that she began writing her own music and during the covid lockdown she began to post these songs online. With nearly 3/4’s of a million views on one of her TikTok videos alone, the only way is up for this singer songwriter.
In 2022, Ellen graduated from UCC in Public Health Sciences and Ellen’s day job as social worker with the Peter McVerry trust has really helped influence her song writing.
