TradFest Temple Bar
Our January concert series is the pinnacle of the TradFest year, featuring an array of artists at the peak of their powers in stunning, historic locations throughout the city. But there’s so much more to the festival. The Smithwicks Sessions offers an intimate alternative, with free ticketed gigs in some of Temple Bar’s most beloved pubs. Our Showcase Nights do just that – giving the best new talent an opportunity to shine for industry insiders while TradFringe gives folks a chance to explore the interesting stuff that happens on the periphery. There’s something to surprise and delight around every cobbled corner and for the littlest visitors our friends at The Ark have arts and craft workshops to spark their imaginations.

Winter in Dublin
TradFest Temple Bar are delighted to be included as part of the Winter in Dublin campaign by Fáilte Ireland this year. Supported by Dublin City Council, the programme highlights some of the best things to do and places to visit in Dublin, aiming to raise the seasonal spirit during some of the darkest months of the year. This year’s edition of TradFest Temple Bar has been included in this campaign alongside other top attractions in Dublin including The Nightmare Realm and Winter Lights.
The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Aliso Gilliand said “I’m delighted to support the ‘Winter in Dublin’ programme. From ‘Winter Lights’ to ‘Tradfest’ there’s plenty on offer for everyone. Enjoy our cultural spaces, savour some good food, maybe do a bit of shopping and let’s banish the winter blues together!”
From cosy pubs in Temple Bar to Dublin landmark venues like St Patrick’s Cathedral, TradFest Temple Bar is the best place to visit in Dublin if atmosphere and authentic trad and folk music is what you are looking for.
