Ireland in Music

Produced by TradFest Temple Bar in 2020, just in the grip of the pandemic, Ireland in Music was a TV project designed to keep the flag flying while gatherings were impossible. This showcase of contemporary Irish talent, shot in stunning natural locations, found eager audiences both at home and internationally. Originally broadcast on RTE 1, it was picked up by several TV stations and festivals in the US. A highly anticipated sequel has aleady been green-lit.

TradFest Temple Bar Dublin Castle sessions

Filmed in Dublin Castle’s historic St Patrick’s Hall this series was first broadcast on RTE 2 during May of 2021. Over six parts it features uplifting performances from renowned Irish trad and folk artists such as Hot House Flowers, Laoise Kelly and David Keenan amongst others.

TradFest Temple Bar online

From the 18th – 21st of March 2021, TradFest Temple Bar streamed performances from a selection of Irish trad and folk artists from Dublin Castle. Performances included tributes to the legendary Ronnie Drew of the Dubliners and one of Ireland’s most prominent contemporary poets, Derek Mahon.
